Against the backdrop of a historic drought, an aspiring writer and an artistic stoner with body image issues embark on what is meant to be an idyllic summer volunteer job at a permaculture farm in the desert -- only to be confronted with an abusive boss, life-threatening heat, and their own internal demons.

HOPE SPRINGS was a joint senior thesis project by lee folpe, (playwriting) and Cameron Mueller-Harder (acting). Performances run April 6-8, 2023 at Holden Theatre on the Amherst College Campus.
